Marine Operations Manager                                             Naval Architect

Subsea Engineer                                                                    Marine Project Engineer                                          

 Introduction 

Mojo Maritime are continuing to lead the way in installation project management and marine consultancy services to the Offshore Renewable Energy Sector. We are continuously expanding on our strong skills and knowledge base by providing engineering analysis and design expertise in addition to project support and management. This covers a substantial range of activities from Marine Operations, Marine Construction, Design and Engineering Support, Research and Development, Installation, Operations and Maintenance and Health & Safety.

 At present we are involved in a number of high profile projects, particularly in the tidal sector, which require development of innovative solutions to a variety of new and exciting challenges. Our team includes a number of engineers with extensive experience in design and development across a wide range of marine and civil based engineering disciplines as well as a breadth of experience in offshore construction and marine operations born out of many years spent working in both the marine renewable and oil and gas industries. This collective experience also includes backgrounds in naval architecture, hydrodynamics, remote subsea intervention and ROV tooling. 

Based in Falmouth, Cornwall, but working out on site as required overseeing project delivery. These roles are a key part in providing an encompassing service to developers in the marine energy sector, primarily; tidal, wave and offshore wind markets.  The successful applicants will be encouraged to provide input and ideas on all areas of project development, and will be actively encouraged to take a role in both the day to day running of the business and its future strategic development. Experience in the offshore renewables sector would be beneficial but not mandatory.

 Marine Operations Manager

  • Attending projects in role of client representative, marine warranty surveyor, marine operations manager or similar marine related roles as designated for specific contracts,
  • Preparation of procedures and Risk Assessments for tasks,
  • Ensure projects executed in line with company QA and HSE procedures,
  • Manage vessels on projects including suitability surveys etc.,
  • Assist with development of new projects,
  • Command experience,
  • Practical experience of heavy lifts, towing and subsea operations,

 Naval Architect

  • Degree qualified Naval Architect accredited by recognized professional body,
  • Keen individual with the ability to work on a wide range of complex projects,
  • Primary areas of analysis are; hydrostatics, hydrodynamics, resistance, stability,
  • Structural design experience considered advantageous,
  • Experience of vessel design also advantageous.

 Marine Project Engineer

  • Degree qualified engineer (Mechanical, Civil, Marine) accredited by recognized professional body,
  • Solid understanding of engineering with ability to problem solve,
  • Experience of offshore working environment,
  • Structural analysis capability considered advantageous.

 Subsea Engineer

  • Degree qualified engineer accredited by recognized professional body,
  • Solid understanding of engineering with ability to problem solve,
  • Previous experience designing/operating sub-sea tools,
  • Innovative approach to complex subsea challenges,
  • Knowledge of offshore working practices.

 Common aims for all vacancies

To take a lead role progressing projects to successful completion through cost control and risk management processes,
To provide high level input on strategic development of the business including; marketing, developing  client relationships, and supporting commercial activities,
Undertake and enhance capability in engineering design analysis of moorings, subsea structures and installation techniques,
Business development,
Provide marine consultancy and technical support to client base,
Supporting R&D projects,
Planning and preparation of projects,
Support development of QA procedures and accreditation,
Liaise with suppliers and sub contractors,
Develop long term relationships with clients,
Prepare procedures and risk assessments for tasks,
Develop cost models for projects and liaise with suppliers to cost projects effectively,
Ensure projects are executed in line with company QA and HSE procedures,
Attend projects in role of client representative, project engineer or similar marine related roles as designated for specific contract,
Develop professional skills through training and development opportunities,
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
